Digital Intern Timi McEwen was recovering from homelessness prior to embarking on MAMA Youth Project’s life-changing intensive training programme. With no money, experience or personal support she understands more than most how difficult it can be to carve a career in the media. Speaking on behalf of MYP at the recent ‘Cost of Living Crisis and the TV Industry’ event where Percy & Warren raised over £400 for the award-winning inclusion charity, Timi explained how expensive it can be to gain access to an industry notoriously hard to get into. MAMA Youth helped her out of a hopeless position and into a fast-paced placement at Lime Pictures.
