- First look at free seminar programme reveals diverse and timely content -
London, UK – 17 March 2022 –The Media Production and Technology Show 2022(MPTS) has revealed the first confirmed speakers in its acclaimed free seminar programme. With a focus upon sustainability, virtual production and mental health,MPTSwill be tackling some of the most prevalent issues currently affecting the industry. Taking place on 11-12 May 2022 at the iconic Olympia London, the show will host more than 170 speakers across eight theatres, featuring keynote presentations, panel discussions and educational sessions.

TheKeynote Theatrepresents a host of industry leaders who will share their successes and visions for the future. Speakers include BAFTA award winning actor, director, producer and writer, Adam Deacon, Daniel Nettleton, Co-Founder and Creative Director of Bandicoot TV - the producers behind The Masked Singer - and Ria Hebden, TV presenter and broadcaster, to name a few.
Launched in 2019, theProduction and Lighting Theatreproved a big hit with visitorswanting to learn about the best equipment and best practice for a variety of production genres. Back by popular demand, this year’s line-up features sessions around location filming, production budgeting, health and safety on set, new kit and tech reviews, and sustainability in production.
TheAudio Theatreoffers case studies, how-to sessions and product workshops featuring the latest equipment and techniques for projects from documentaries to live events and feature films. Speakers include a keynote chat with Chris Burdon, Re-Recording Mixer from Warner Bros. De
Lane Lea, who will discuss, amongst other projects, the forthcomingTop Gun: Maverick, hitting cinemas this summer. The line-up also includes talented composers across TV and Film such as
Nainita Desai, Benji Merrison and David Lowe. The theatre will also feature supporting training sessions from industry associations, the IPS and AMPS.
ThePost Production Theatreexamines the status of this key sector, both creatively and technologically, with examples of recent work, product masterclasses and the latest post-production workflows. Visitors will have access to tailor-made training sessions from Blackmagic Design across both days and will hear from some of the UK senior leaders managing post production and senior graders in the UK including Jet Omeshibi from Goldcrest Post and Paul Harrison from Residence Pictures.
New theatres will focus on the rise ofVirtual Productionin content creation with a special stage build from partners 80six and content sponsored by Pixotope. There will be a newTechnology Theatresponsored by Ross Video plus theMojoFestarea and seminar room - there is plenty for all visitors to find something of interest to them.
