“MAMA Youth changed my whole life. It’s just kind of opened up a world I’d never seen before. Growing up on council estates, you only ever see one set of people."

  • Innovative Training Approach: MAMA Youth Project’s innovative training approach places young people in real-time work situations, providing hands-on experience and bridging the gap between training and employment. Your support will ensure young people are able to embark on our life-changing media training.
  • Corporate Partnerships for Job Opportunities: MAMA Youth Project specialises in strategic partnerships with major broadcasters and independent production companies to offer exclusive job opportunities for trainees who complete our media training.  Your donation will contribute to maintaining and expanding these partnerships, thereby increasing employment prospects for our trainees.

“In my initial application, I wrote that MAMA Youth would be life changing and I genuinely believe that it was… MAMA Youth helps people from all kinds of backgrounds to break into TV.  Young people are struggling to find a way in and even those with higher education are unprepared for it.
It’s easy to feel lost trying to get a foot on the ladder when the people approached are not willing to give opportunities. This is how MAMA Youth is different, they take a chance on people and train them with all the skills to be successful in broadcast media. They also provide invaluable networking skills and industry contacts.
Unlike many other schemes where the experience ends along with the training, alumni are supported in employment to ensure that they always have work. MAMA Youth helped me reach for the Sky, and I feel like I’ve arrived!”
